Breakfast at Tiffany's

Breakfast at Tiffany's

September 26-27, 2020.

Sweetens Cove Golf Club

Breakfast at Tiffany's, our first event. 40 golf degenerates put their trust and support in a guy that had a few ideas. Not tied to the movie or song really. It was the middle of the covid boom and the tiffany color be poppin’. I LOVE breakfast and everything breakfast food related so figured how I could incorporate that into a potential theme/branding. A mixture on playful/whimsical with a touch of class. The rest is history.

I knew that if this was going to catch anyone's attention the logo and branding had to standout. This brought me to the incredibly talented Seth McWhorter, who has cemented himself as a golf brand wonder throughout the community. Luckily for me, we were members at the same club and sparked a friendship. Initially, I planned on having a main icon logo and then potentially something secondary to add "after-the-fact" and support overall. Little did I know this would turn into a portfolio of logos.

I love engulfing myself in the creative process which especially includes subtle easter eggs. The main icon is two waffles with tiffany colored syrup draped over in the shape of #5 green at Sweetens fixed with both flags as you would see at the course.

The next logo showcases the same waffle stack except this time with a single flag through them with a pad of butter and the tiff syrup drip. Then finally, the last rendition includes a tilt of everything with a tee through the waffles.

Along with a few word mark logos, this completed the arsenal.

Now that I had branding, it was time for the goods and how I was going to continue the interest.

This wasn't going to be an event where you just sign up and show up. There was the need for a personal touch. Each player received a personal invitation in the mail wax stamped and sealed donning the event brand.

Of course everyone has golf tees, right? What will stand out? In everything that is created for an event, there is always a "why" or reason behind the design. Now something as small as a golf tee, how is that special? Some people care, some couldn't careless. However, I wanted to leave a mark that little did I know, would shape some of the designs going forward for each event.

Ultimately, I came up with 2 designs and thought, who doesn't love options given how different they were. The white tee design is sequenced in morse code spelling "BAT." All I had to do was play around with the colors and boom.

Now everyone loves to have fun, but I also knew every single person that would should up would be competitive, so I needed some badass trophies. Both for gross and net individual champions as well as team champions. Thus, utilizing the IG network, these welded waffle logos were created.

Now, getting an eagle is definitely cause for celebration. Why not have something unique to remember that time? Each player that made an eagle on either day of the event received a Franklin Dollar coin.

These are just a few things from the events, however we also created towels, pin flags, scorecards, fully catered menu, putter covers, wood covers, ball markers, one-off bags, a one-off putter, and various auction items. With night-putting and fireworks to blast off eagles and everything in-between, a legacy was born.

Here are additional pictures commemorating BaT.

With Love,

K
